Tales of Korea
Korean tales come alive in two tales by Cathy Spagnoli and The Korea Society. The first, Tales of Korea for kids, is best for younger listeners. The tape shares the richness of Korean culture through riddles, trickster tales, legends, and, of course, a ghost story. Hear about Ondal the fool, the naughty green frog, and more as you also learn why laziness can be dangerous!
The second, Tales of Korea-II is for ages 10 and up. It includes folktales about trickster Kim Sondal, the friends Osong and Hanum, diaries of Admiral Yi Sun Sin and a Korean immigrant, a poem about military sex slaves, and more. Both are produced by The Korea Society; only Tales of Korea for kids is available at present, for $8.00 plus shipping.
